latNOW

Privacy Policy

Effective date: March 29, 2026

latNOW is built on a simple principle: we collect only what we need to make the platform work, and we never sell your data.

What we collect

When you create an account, we store your email address, a username, and a hashed version of your password. Your password is never stored in plain text.

When you submit an event, we store the content you provide — title, description, location, dates, and any optional fields like a poster image or wear color.

When you visit the site, your IP address may be logged as part of standard server operations. We use your approximate location, derived from your IP, only to show you events near you on the homepage. We do not store or track your location beyond that single request.

Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. It expires after 7 days and contains no personally identifiable information beyond an encrypted session ID.

What we don't collect

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics. We do not build behavioral profiles. We do not track you across other websites.

Third parties

We work with a small number of service providers to operate the platform. None of them receive your data for advertising purposes. We will never sell your personal data to third parties.

Your rights

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Event content you submitted may be retained in anonymized form for platform integrity.
